About Bournemouth and District Cats Protection
The Bournemouth and District Branch of Cats Protection was formed in 1983 and has steadily grown in size. It has a number of volunteer fosterers with pens in their gardens and others who take cats into their homes until suitable permanent homes can be found for them.
In 2009, Bournemouth and District Cats Protection rehomed 495 cats. 340 of our cats were given vet care and we helped with vet care on a further 258 cats not in our care. In addition, a critical part of the Cats Protection work is in the neutering of both male and female cats. We also microchipped 449 cats and vaccinated 490. Our lost and found service also reunited 65 cats with their owners.
