A coat so thick and shiny

Eyes so deep and warm

A face which smiled and welcomed me

Every single morn.

You found a place within our hearts

A fondness we will treasure

A love we will never forget

It gave us so much pleasure.

Time will heal we are wisely told

And we are sure that this is true

At present though it only seems

We will never get over you.

Your stay with us was far too short

Your life was snatched away

However we'll always remember you

Forever and a day.
